1. Best Choice: 0% Added Sugar

When you see 0% next to added sugar on a label, it’s a wise choice. Keep it.

2. Acceptable Choice: Less than 4 grams Added Sugar

When the added sugar is less than 4 grams (one teaspoon of sugar is 4 grams), it can help you to stay under the 25 gram daily-limit for women and 36 gram daily-limit for men.

3. Avoid: Items with over 4 grams of Added Sugar

If the added sugar is more than 4 grams, it will be more difficult to stay under your daily limit.
